The Cove has been a prominent feature on the Leland River in Leland, Michigan for generations of locals and visitors. Rick Wanroy, the proprietor of The Cove, acquired the restaurant in the early 80's. The details of how this transpired are sketchy, but rumors include maxed-out credit cards, a behind-the-scenes buyout, and Rick politely asking the former owner (and his former boss!) to leave his new restaurant.
